ZAFU & ZABUTON — THE CLASSIC SET Zafu (round cushion, 13 x 13 x 6 inches) and zabuton (square mat, 28 x 28 inches) form the classic meditation set for zazen, lotus, seiza, and cross-legged sitting. The zafu elevates the pelvis for an upright spine. The zabuton protects knees and ankles from hard floor contact.
KAPOK — NATURALLY FIRM & SHAPE-RETAINING Kapok is a plant-based natural fiber that distributes weight evenly without collapsing. New cushions are firm — this is normal and intentional. After a few sessions the filling settles to a perfect shape. For more softness, place a thin blanket on top.
FOR THOSE WITH JOINT SENSITIVITY The zabuton is the most important addition for those with sensitive knees, ankles, or hips. Numerous customers with joint issues report that this set allowed them to sit through a full meditation session without pain for the first time.
